Soos' father is Soos Ramirez's deadbeat parent, who has not seen his son since he was at least four years old.
History[]
Early Life[]
Soos' father had last seen his son in 1994 due to his traveling and carelessness, leaving him to be raised by his maternal grandmother, Abuelita.
In his absence, he visited a multitude of states and cities, including Massachusetts, Arizona, Texas, New York, and Las Vegas, often sending postcards to Soos promising to come back. While he initially remained adamant that his dad would indeed return, his failure to attend Soos' 12th birthday party crushed his hopes, loathing his birthday from then on. Abuelita vowed to deliver her deadbeat son-in-law a piece of her mind should he ever set foot in her house.
Season 2[]
During their visit to Gravity Falls ten years' in the past in "Blendin's Game," Dipper and Mabel witness the unfolding of the infamous 12th birthday party that Soos' father failed to attend, discovering reasoning behind Soos' deep-seated hatred of his birthday. Following their victory against Blendin Blandin and the acquiring of a time wish, the twins agree to transfer their prize to Soos, giving him the chance to finally meet his father. Despite this, Soos rejects the opportunity, stating that the man had no interest in spending time with him at all, let alone risking his life as the twins did.
In the episode Weirdmageddon 2: Escape From Reality, since he's never seen his dad, Soos fantasizes that he has the body of a pro wrestler and a face he once saw on a hot sauce bottle.
Personality[]
Neglectful and careless, Soos' father's only interest appears to be himself, as he leaves the responsibility of caring for his son with his mother-in-law. Soos eventually learns to accept his father's deadbeat nature, decreeing a man so self-absorbed was not worth caring about.
